Your safety isn't a feature. It's the foundation.

Connection only matters if you feel safe enough to be yourself. These are the protections that are in the app today.

Report and block, built in

Report or block anyone from their profile or your chat. Blocking takes effect immediately and removes them from your discovery.

Location is off by default

Nothing about where you are is shared until you switch it on, and you can switch it off again at any time.

Photos are stripped of location data

Camera photos carry hidden GPS coordinates. We remove that from every upload before it is stored, and if a photo can't be cleaned, we refuse it rather than publish it.

Delete your account in the app

One tap removes your profile, matches, messages and photos from Connected at once, including the photo files themselves. For safety and legal reasons we keep a private copy, which no member can see, for a limited time (90 days for most accounts). Our Privacy Policy sets out the periods.

Non-Consensual Images

If an intimate image of you is shared on Connected without your consent, you can have us remove it by submitting a removal request at https://app.connected-social.com/report-intimate-image or by emailing safety@coloursglobal.com.

Run a venue or put on events? Listing is free and you can post as many events as you like. To take bookings through Connected, you pay $2 only for each guest you confirm who then confirms they arrived; no-shows are free. Founding Venue offer: the first 20 venues in Washington, DC pay no per-guest fee for their first 150 guests seated through Connected, within 12 months of joining. Your start and end dates are confirmed in writing when you join.

Subscriptions are available on the web while the mobile apps are in testing.

Is Connected a dating app or a friendship app?

Both, and more. You choose what you're here for: dating, friendship, or simply experiences and events. Connected introduces you to people who match that, so nobody is guessing what anybody wants.

How is this different from every other social app?

Three ways. First, trust is built in: friends vouch for you, and reporting and blocking are built into every profile and chat. Second, you have more options: you can use Connected for dating, friendship, or simply experiences and events. Third, if you're here for dating, you get three deliberate choices (Yes, Maybe, No) on people who share your interests and intent, rather than an endless swipe pile.

What is social vouching?

The people who know you best can vouch that you're real and genuine, and their vouch appears on your profile. It's a warm introduction at scale: real human accountability instead of anonymous risk.

Is it free?

The whole app is free: discovery, matches, messaging and events are unlimited on the free plan and stay that way. Plus and Premium are optional and buy you speed, not access: seeing who liked you, undoing a pass, travel mode. You can subscribe on the web today; while the mobile apps are in testing, subscriptions are web-only.

How do you keep me safe?

Reporting and blocking are built into every profile and chat, and blocking takes effect immediately. Precise location sharing is off by default. Photo uploads are stripped of the GPS data cameras attach to them. And you can delete your account in the app: your profile, messages and photos leave Connected at once (a private copy that no member can see is kept for a limited time, as our Privacy Policy explains).

What's the 72-hour thing on my matches?

When you match, a 72-hour countdown starts. It's there because the failure mode of every other app is a list of matches nobody ever messaged. Say something, or mark that you're planning to meet, and the clock stops. But to be clear: it's just a prompt and a reminder; we don't slam the conversation closed the moment 72 hours runs out.

Does Connected use AI to write my messages?

No. Nothing you read in Connected was written by a model. We do use an automated check on uploaded photos, which is a safety filter, not a writer.

Where can I use it?

Connected is live on the web today at app.connected-social.com. The iOS and Android apps are in testing and will follow. Connected is currently available only to users in the United States.
