Connected exists to help real people meet in a warm, safe, and respectful way. These Guidelines apply to everyone. Breaking them can lead to content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban.
Zero tolerance. Connected has no tolerance for
objectionable content or abusive users. You can report content and block
any member from inside the app, and we may remove content and ban
offenders who break these Guidelines.
Be real
- Use your real identity and your own recent photos.
- No impersonation, fake profiles, or bots.
- You must be 18 or older.
Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, or discrimination.
- No unsolicited sexual content, nudity, or sexually explicit material.
- No sharing of someone else’s private information without consent.
Be safe
- No solicitation, scams, fraud, or requests for money.
- No promotion of violence, self-harm, illegal drugs, or weapons.
- No commercial spam or off-platform recruitment.
Reporting and blocking
Your safety tools are built into the app:
- Report any profile or message from the conversation or profile menu. Reports are confidential — the other person is not told who reported them.
- Block anyone at any time. Once blocked, you will no longer see each other or be able to message.
- Reporting someone also blocks them immediately, so you are protected right away.
Reports are recorded and reviewed, and we may remove content or permanently remove accounts that break these Guidelines.
Meeting in person
- Meet in public for the first few times and tell a friend where you’ll be.
- Trust your instincts; you are never obligated to continue a conversation or a date.
- If you ever feel unsafe, contact local emergency services.
Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may warn, remove content, restrict features, suspend, or permanently ban an account. Serious violations result in an immediate ban and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
